Boot Camp: Chilumba's Revenge Begins
Due to Chilumba's persistence, I sighed up for boot camp. I woke up at 5am yesterday. I've always had an exhausting when I get up this early. Yesterday was not an exception.
I made it to my gym before 7am (it takes me a while to get up and waking at five doesn't help). I was a bit early but there were a few people milling about on the basketball court with a mix of worry and sleepyness. After this group grew to a large group, Corey, who looks like an excitable marathon runner told us how Boot Camp would work. Corey is a big fan of running.
We ran around in the gym and did some stretches, then went outside and jogged to a park about a mile away. We then did some laps around a track and some simple pseudo-sprints. Then we headed over to an "exercise station" and did pull-ups, sit-ups, and such. We then ran up and down a hill twice and jogged back to the gym. Nobody barked orders at me and there were no running songs.
The whole thing was tough but not terrible. Maybe he was just toning it down for the first day. Even still, when I woke up this morning I was so stiff and sore that I could barely walk around my room.
Hurray for Boot Camp!
